Rules governing the permitted and prohibited uses of the CloudVNO platform.

Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all use of CloudVNO's communications APIs and platform. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
Permitted Uses
CloudVNO services may be used for legitimate business communications, including:
- Customer notifications and transactional messaging
- Two-factor authentication and account verification
- Appointment reminders and scheduling
- Customer support and service communications
- Marketing messages to users who have opted in per applicable law
- AI voice agent infrastructure for legitimate business applications
- Business voice communications and contact center operations
Prohibited Uses
Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Sending SMS, MMS, RCS, or voice messages to recipients who have not provided explicit opt-in consent
- Using harvested, purchased, or scraped contact lists
- Sending messages with misleading sender identification
- Violating CAN-SPAM, CASL, TCPA, GDPR, or other anti-spam or telecommunications laws
Illegal Activities
- Fraud, phishing, or impersonation
- Drug trafficking or illegal goods/services
- Gambling (where illegal)
- Money laundering or financial crimes
- Activities that violate any applicable law or regulation
Harmful Communications
- Harassment, threats, or abuse
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
- Content that sexualizes minors (CSAM) — zero tolerance, reported to authorities
- Malware distribution or social engineering attacks
Technical Abuse
- Attempting to bypass rate limits or usage controls
- Probing, scanning, or testing system vulnerabilities without authorization
- Unauthorized resale or sublicensing of CloudVNO services
- Using the platform to conduct DDoS attacks or other network abuse
Telecommunications Compliance
Users are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable telecommunications regulations, including:
- US: TCPA, A2P 10DLC registration, CTIA Messaging Principles
- EU: GDPR, ePrivacy Directive
- Canada: CASL
- UK: Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations
Enforcement
CloudVNO monitors for AUP violations and may:
- Issue warnings for minor violations
- Suspend accounts pending investigation
- Terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations
- Report illegal activity to relevant authorities
- Seek legal remedies for damages caused by violations
